The big miff that everyone thinks is this magic number of 25 the rates drop. Well, the true fact to that is false. It will not, but can. Insurance rates are based on so much more than ones age. More important is the amount of time you have had the license. The agent I spoke to said " What if you got your license just last year and your 25? " That means to us, you have one years driving experience and you will be a high rate. Second is the population in which you live or driving, guestimation on annual driving miles, previous driving record, vehicle type and class, safety features and heck even for young people, GPA are taken into consideration. I was 25 in 1994 :(
